I had SEII's on my '05 Sportster and they sounded great. Not too loud, but just right. However, I've heard that the SE pipes are not as good as they were a few years ago... something to do with changes HD needed to make to accommodate EPA.

A buddy of mine keeps telling me that Cycle Shack makes the SE pipes.... but I've never bothered to verify that.

It really depends on what kind of sound you are looking for. Everyone likes something different. Go and listen to some bikes at the dealer or somewhere where there are plenty of bikes.

Excellent advice. It's personal and what you get is not only dependent on exhaust but what you've done with your bike. All comments, as far as relating to what they'll do, are generalisations and based on that persons experiance and exposure.
