Default removing factory mufflers

newbie hear and learning alot from this forum thanks guys. my question is could i just remove my factory mufflers and run like that till i save up the money to buy some vance and hines bss. I am thinking i could because i have heard of guys removing the baffles out of there pipe so that would pretty much be the same thing i would be doing. I have a 2010 fatboy lo. thanks in advance for an answer.

I drilled a bunch of holes in the baffles on mine, then used a pipe and punched the metal out of it. It actually just bent it out of the way.

That was 8 years ago. Pipes are like brand new. Want to buy them? ennis

You can NOT just remove the pipes and ride like that....will sound terrible and VERY LOUD!!!! You can however drill the baffles out like said above.

Just go to the DIY Cheap Mods, there are several good/cheap ways of doing it that won't make your bike an enemy of the state, or worse, your neighbors.
