Default 01 Deuce, not charging Intermit. - RESLVED -> Regulator

Just picked up my 01 Deuce, Shes not charging, very intermittent.
Seems to charge for first few seconds, then stops.
I Put in new battery and checked the grounds.

Anyone have a charging system Wiring diagram? and possibly some resistance values or diag steps?

Thanx.

I will bring her in the shop later thiss aft.

I should have mentioned she is fuel injected, I see the schematic has Carb, but I doubt there is very little if anything different in the Charging ckt?

I am starting to think loose connection somewhere, maybe near the ckt breaker or starter.
When i was buying her, I noticed it wasn't charging, the guy said it was loose connections @ battery.
This isn't the case as I checked them and the near by grounds. I also change the Battery while I was there, she hasn't run much the last 2 years so figured it was worth it. (also wiggled the harness from the atator and the plug @ regulator and as far as I could reach towards the starter)

Yesterday and this morning she wasn't charging at all, went to go start to bring in shop, didnt realize she was in first gear so she lurched ahead a bit, since then been charging lol and can't get it to stop.

The starter area and ckt breaker are the 2 areas I can't easily access, but I suspect this is where I will find a loose or poor connection.

Anyone run into a problem in this area?

Well, charged all yesterday afternoon, now when I pull out of the shop she is not charging again.
Hopefully it will stay that way so I can track it down this evening.

All of the info I found for diagnosis is for 2 wire Stator/Reg systems, not the newer 3 wire.

How do I check the 3 wire systems?
Voltage..... ?
Resistance... ?
Does the test of Voltage at reg connector when unplugged still ring true?

Thanx

Ahhhhh, she started charging again lol.

Though, I check AC Voltage between all 3 wires, 20V @ Idle up to 60 ACV.

There was a lot of oil the connector though, cleaned that out.
Could the oil been shorting out the stator? or just coincidence that she started charging again after cleaning?

I doubt if the oil is shorting out the stator, not helping things though. Check ac at regulator and dc coming out of regulator, sounds like a intermittent regulator or bad connection.
