BTW, The passenger seat does have room for tucking the amp inside I will have to add chromed spikes to that fake seat so nobody sits on it.
Check out the magnet on that little speaker:
This is how it sits on the housing's front:
The housing with the highway peg bracket attached (the black rubber part is covered with a chrome brace):

Seat measurements came out ok, tuck the amp inside, add a couple of ventilation holes on the sides plus a couple of 1" fans to create a cool breeze inside:
Check out the speakers my buddy's pushing mounted inside the eng guard. ...
(sorry, crop'd out the gals out of respect for them)
And there's more in his saddle bags!!
I've seen those, they are marine speakers which are mounted on the towers that pull the slalom. They are very nice their design is tip-top, I believe they are something like $600 the pair. I like how the tweeter sticks out in a different orbit.

That looks like some speakers off of a wake board tower (Skit boat). I didn't even think about that! That would be LOUD, and I would imagine waterproof with marine grade speakers. They are quite expensive though.

LOL, I've seen those too. When something gets in my mind I seriously do my homework, spent 3 hours (took 'em from my sleep time last night) viewing and reading reviews on marine grade speakers, lots of cool-useful stuff, but currently out of my reach (I'm in México I'd pay obscene taxes if I have them shipped to me), I'll see how the BOSE sounds and if I'm not convinced, I'll grab a couple of those next time I travel up-north
so I got the detail from my buddy for that member. Here's his set-up. Puts out some SERIOUS CLEAR SOUND.
Its an Alpine PDX 4.150. its a 600 watt amp, low current amp, that wont mess with your electrical system, it puts out what it says, 4channell, 150watts per channel.
SPEAKERS- I have Polk Audio 6x9 marine certified. I am pushing 4-6x9 and 2-6.5 speakers
Useful thread, thanks. I checked the required input voltage for the amp I'm planning to use, it works with an input range from 100mVolts to 4Volts. And according to your submitted thread the iPod produced enough voltage (500mVolts) to operate the amp...
I've seen alpine PDX-4 on crotch rockets, they are loud and clear, see this particular setup with Hertz speakers, this guy selected the 3 channels option on the amp, two three way speakers and one SW:
I did a thread quite a while back "Soundsystem on my Deluxe". I don't know how to tag it to this thread. It's along the lines you are going. Hope it helps you or gives you an idea.
