I had my inspection done at Canadian Tire last week, the RIV list the few models that has Modifications needed that are to be done by an HD dealers.
"i did it just last month... if its 15 years or older all you have to do is pay the tax man..." This quote is not true as any year Harley can be imported and you just pay the tax plus the $220 RIV fee. If you can get a dealer to sell you a new Harley you can import it.
yeah, any year can be imported....but if its 15 years or older no riv fee,no canadian tire...just pay the tax......

Can't import brand new without Deeley getting their cut
nobody seems to care about the speedo when you go to register you have to have proof of payment of the gst so you get that at the border or at your local federal office as your import will be on their computer system remember that the documents you fax at the border have to be faxed to the office at the port of entry and if you can check that they have them where they need to be or there will be a problem when you are at the border
