Yeah, I run a Dave Mackie Megasphere 95" in an '02 Fat Boy. I use his 590 cams and a 45m.m. Mikuni carb. It's an amazing set up. It actually seems to run cooler than stock, has been trouble free for 5 years, and hauls ***! The only problem I have is guys don't believe it's just a 95 incher. I'm not bragging, Mackie did the design, I just put it together and ride it. A lot of guys around here run his stuff and love it. His headwork is just beautiful. I'd highly recommend his headwork and piston combo.
yea that dude in the indy shop like his staff big time,I ask him about woods cams because I want to swap my cams with the new woods 555 cam,he said that that's fine Ill do what ever you want but I prefer the maskie,....do they make cam for the new 96 inch engine?
I run Mackie cams with his heads and pistons. It's a combo that works well together. I don't know if he has a cam that is really great in an otherwise stock engine. You can call Dave. I suspect that other manufacturers may have a bigger selection of cams for otherwise stock motors. Call him. I only know how my stuff works, and thats a lot different than your application.
