The only issue with buying a bike with that many miles is trying to resell it. There are so many Harleys out there with really low miles that it could hurt the resale value if you put another 30-40K miles on it and then try to sell it. If you are going to ride the wheels off it, then I think you are OK.

I bought my 2004 FLSTCI a couple of months ago with 14K on the clock. I suppose the real question here is, is this what you want to buy? I had found plenty of bikes within my budget that I could get with anywhere from 8K-20K on the clock. So go with the one that has the features, upgrades and miles on it that you can live with. Since you apparently already have some reservations maybe that is good enough reason to look on and see what else is available. Oh, and if you are looking to buy a used ride from the Stealer I would suggest you look on ebay, craigs and everywhere else first. My Stealers out here wanted 4-5K more for the same bikes I was finding in the open market.

I felt like my 2008 heritage was finally broken in around 14,000 miles, I have 22,500 on it as of today.

It seems hard to think of a bike as "used" if it has less than 15,000 on it.

I feel sorry for you guys. I'd hate to own a bike I didn't get to ride. I turned 60,000 miles on my Softail before its 6th birthday. Today it's 17 years old and has turned over 160,000 miles.

It's aged these years far better than I have.
