Hi has anyone installed a Baker Frankentranny kickstarter on a Crossbones or other recent Harley.Thanks for any info. Brian

i thought about it ...but too much money to convert efi to a carb, plus the kicker

Was just looking at the April issue of American Iron and there is a Crossbones done by Shade Tree that has a kickstarter on it. No info in the article about it though. Not sure if its fake one or not, cant tell who makes it by the picture, Looks like it has the letter FGR on the side though.

You can make a kicker work with EFI...just got to program it right...EFI doesn't know whats turning the motor....just got to have the spark on the first revolution...which most computers don't to prevent kickback...and save the starter. And having a kicker on a Softail...the biggest thing that sucks is it severely limits your chose of exhaust.

I wanted to put a kicker on my ride until I realized how much it was going to cost to do it all. So not worth it just to look cool. I'd buy a used sprty and mod it really nice for the smae price.

its the crank position sensor and others that dont allow it....trust me i looked into it deep...baker sells a tranny for it but have to convert...convert will cost 1 g plus the cost of the franken tranny.....
