Default The Infamous 21"er...

After drooling over numerous bikes here, I am looking at adding the 21" to my '03 Heritage. I did a quick search, but never found a "Shopping List" for this swap. Can I use a 21" wheel from another HD bike? Or do I need to order a spoke wheel from a manufacturer? Do I need new hubs, spacers, etc...? Do I have to raise my stock fender with some brakets? I have no idea. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

It's a bolt on if you order the right bearings. Fender stays the same and no bushings if you go with a 21x3.5 like I did

Ride Right Wheels are the ones I run and they are a direct bolt on with the stock spacers..

I do want to go with the wider 3.5"... so what bearings do I need? Also, I am not trying to spend a BUNCH of money, as I would imagine the Ride Rights are, just guessing. Is there a HD wheel I can scrap from another bike? Or should I just go ahead an drop the coin on a Ride Right?

Bought a 21' softail wheel. Tore it down. Tore down stock 16". Replaced stock spokes with chrome twisted spokes. Had new rim and spokes laced to stock hub. Minus the powder it cost me bout $200.

What year is your bike? On the newer HD's the bearings are 25mm. Some guys just grab a front wheel off a night train, others go for the gusto with a nice Ride Wright. RW makes their wheels so they will bolt right on with stock spacers and all. Some guys choose to get chrome spacers if they do not already have them. After ahving 4 sets of wheels on my ride since i avhe owned it I have learned one thing. I might as well get what I really want the first time or else I am just spinning my wheels and spending more money down the line. I have doe the same with exhaust (6 sets) saddlebags (2 sets) bars (3 sets) and the list goes on. I can get you discounted Ride Wrights as well.

Your bikes a 03 so you need 3/4 bearings bro. Hd doesn't have a 3.5 21" wheel that I know of that's not going to cost as much as the ride wright

Check Demon's Cycles for spaces. They have a lot of parts there for cheap, including a spacer kit.

I have purchased from them before and despite the price, they are very high quality parts.

Otherwise, check the hub spacing. That's the only issue I have run into.
