I have a 2010 FB Lo with 3400 miles. I know that with new bike cables will stretch. I noticed that the clutch lever had some slack in the cable so I adjusted the cable on the cable adjuster. I notice now that my clutch will not engage until its 3/4 the way out. Is there something wrong with the clutch or does the cable need more adjustment? If so at the clutch or the cable adjuster. How do i do this? I don't have much experience working on bikes. Is this hard to do?

2010 with 3400 miles shouldn't have clutch issues. I expect it is in the adjustment; even adjusted properly the cable should have a little slack. If you are going to pull regular maintenance, adjust cluch, etc. get the Service Manual for your bike. One thing the MoCo has done an pretty good job with is their service manual; full of useful information.

 

5k service will take care of that. mine wont engage until the last 25% and that is normal
