Another Stupid Seat Question
Well the time has come to put a new seat on the bike. The choices have come down to either the Corbin Solo with Standard Pillion or the Mustang Solo with Standard Pillion. I'm looking to find out if anyone has had both Corbin and Mustang to find out which you liked better and why. I would also like to hear comments if you have either one with your likes and dislikes about the seats. The choice is a solo with pillion because a lot of my riding is solo and I like to remove the rear seat and sissy bar for those times but when going two up I need comfort for my wife as well. I thank you for all your input and help with all these choices.
I had both on previous bikes. I liked both as far as comfort went. No complaints at all on either. But I did prefer the corbin overall for the simple fact that it was leather. I'm a big fan of leather. I think it gets better with age. While the mustang seat was of good quality I thought it looked a little cheap because of the leather like material used. I know a lot of guys that have the Mustang and disagree with me on this. To each their own I guess. The other thing is that the corbin was/appeared to be pretty hard when you first got it. But it does break in within a few hundred miles and soften up a bit. Still, even new it wasn't a comfort issue because it was contoured just right. The only reason I don't have a corbin now is because they didn't have the style seat I was looking for for my Springer Classic.
If you do a search I'm sure you'll find plenty of info on both seats. I'd say they are the two most popular seats out there so there should be some threads that discuss them. Hope this helps!

I have the corbin classic solo with studs and I like it. It has me siting back a little further and as far as comfort I have no complaints. I bought it on e bay from a guy it only had a few hundred miles on I paid half price. Its a snap to put on two bolts one on each side of the frame easily removed
I bought a corbin solo classsic. I have about 2000 miles on it and it feels great. It felt good the first time I rode on it. Although it is very hard it is very comfortable. It has a key that you turn and it pulls right off of the bike. I am going to get another one for my fat boy.
