Default Mustang Seat

Hey I am considering buying a Mustang Seat for my Softail.

I had one on a previous bike, a VStar and the seat changed my riding position(a little lower, and a little forward)

Anyone out there using one of these on a softail?

Does the Mustang Seat on a Softail do the same thing?
Just curious before I buy?

The Vintage/Wide touring seat is the one I am looking at.

Yep, lower and forward a bit. Get the backrest. You can always take it off for zipping around town, but I really like the way it makes feel like you're 'in' the bike and not just on it. Enjoy!!!

+2 I have the Mustang on mine now and have not looked back. I got the sport (slightly more narrow) version with the backrest. I bought the wide first, but being vertically challenged, it was a bit too wide for me. Go for it, you won't have any regrets

Have the wide vintage on the Heritage & the sport solo on the fxst, both with backrest. Never a problem.

The one piece seat pushes you forward, but the two piece seat pushed me back about 3/4" and certainly down about 1 1/2".

I love mine but the old lady is not happy with it, she has less room than she did with the old seat and her short legs don't quite hit the pegs anymore.

I love it, We spent 6 1'2 hours on it the first Saturday it was on and no more numb butt syndrome.

Thanks to everyone for the advise. I think that is the direction I am headed. I loved mine on the Star and I am sure I will like it on my Heritage Softail!
