Question Fatboy torque mystery

I recently purchased a 2008 Fatboy. With it came a nice, large 2008 sales folder that has all the 08 bikes and specs for them. Reading across the specs. for all the softtails for some reason the fatboy shows about 2 more ft. lbs. than any of the rest and at the same RPMs. Anyone know why this would be? Just curious.

I think we have the same book. Check the figures for the Deluxe also. I have no explanation... especially since the factory is not specing rwhp/tq, so gearing or tire OD isn't the reason for the difference. Typo?

Yes, bet we do have the same book. All of them are rated 87.9@2750 except the Fatboy and the Deluxe which show 89.8 and 89,7 respectively. Did you notice that the metric ratings vary the same for them? That makes me less suspicious of it just being a typo, yet it could well be. I'm old to motorcycles, but new to Harleys and trying to learn a little about them. I kind of assumed all the softy motors were the same, but I also know how that word "assume' breaks down. Anyone know why these are different?
