I get 30 per if my right wrist is twitchy but normally get in the 40 range. It's too fun to twist and go, who cares about the MPG anyway?
Now this is the right attitude. So what if you get 30? Just fill it up again and go. It's not like it's a 30 gallon tank!
I get about 36 mpg in the city driving to work everyday. I enjoy the ride and don't worry about filling it up once a week. On the highway I can get closer to 50 mpg. It's all in how you ride. But check your tuners settings anyway and then just enjoy the ride.
I love the torque this bike has. I had an 88c.i. Before & it was a dog but got around 45 mpg. I'm fine with it, I'd rather have the power. I just don't want my bike getting messed up from running too rich. Is this possible?
Pull your plugs and look at them. If theyre black after normal riding (no WOT), then back the first 2 pots back a bit and reset your idle mix. If the plugs go black after a hard run at WOT, then back off the last pot. Tuning the Cobra is just like tuning a carb. Ya got 3 adjustments (idle mix, pilot needle, and main) and thats all you need. When you get the mix thinned out to where it ought to be, youll get a bit more power and better economy
