I have an 09 Night train, I had to empty the gas in order to ship my bike from Hawaii to Florida. I unscrewed the peacot to allow the fuel to empty. Upon arrival I filled her up but have gas leaking steady around the peacot (sp) valve. The valve is tight. Please help
I think i've seen this problem on here before, but i'm kinda shooting from the hip so here it goes.
I think there is a black rubber O-ring on the valve that can dryrot and go bad. It probably needs replaced. And if memory serves me correctly the problem is usually exposed when the valve is used to drain the tank. Check it out.
Anyone that knows can either confirm or correct my response.
