A little help on rear suspension

I want to lower the rear of my FXSTC, but have only seen the HD stuff from their catalog. I've ridden the same type of bike but the reg shocks were removed and replaced with bolts and makes it more of a 'hard tail', making every bump a 'pain in the as$'. Is there a decent solution to lowering it maybe an inch or so without sacrificing all of the shock absorbtion?

Air ride......my suggestion is Shotgun Shock. That's what I'm using and I love it. I can ride it slammed (rides like a hardtail) or I can pump em up and get any combination of drop and ride comfort I want.

I replaced my lowered shock unit with the Platnium air bleed/feed kit, and it rules. kinda pricey compared to just a lowering kit.....but a new back aint cheap either!
