I have wanted another bike for a long time, sporty bobber would be sweet for tearing around on. It always sounds good until I think of a third registration and insurance bill coming in.
I'd love to trick out a sporty. But, the 883 is just too slow for me. My buddy had one and it was just boring to ride. 1200 edelbrock kit on a bobber style sporty would be a blast.
BUY IT. I have a deluxe and a sporster 48. Maybe its not practical but it sure is nice to always have 2 wheels to jump on. That way when your working on your deluxe you can hop on the sporty. If it isn't what you thought it would be you can easily turn around and sell that sporty for what you paid. Just my worthless $.2.
Add me to the "buy it" crowd.
I have that ol 60 ironhead rat and talking about not practical. To be quit honest the kickstart can be a pain in the azz sometimes then no front brake but I still enjoy the hell out of it. Id does have to be the most non pratical bike though
Buy it, if you dont like it or end up wanting to sell you should be able to get what you paid.
The Luxe will still get modded just maybe not as fast.
From my experience with cars i bought the vette used it alot then got the chevelle and hardly ever drove the vette now the Deluxe the cars are like 2 really expensive book ends lol. I would say mod the deluxe you will get alot more enjoyment out of that.
I vote for getting the Sporty. If you don't do it, you'll just keep talking about it (and may never get around to it). I've been talking about getting a Road Glide for 2 yrs, but haven't. I just keep thinking that I'll save the $$$ to buy one, and keep spending that $$$ on accessorizing this FXST. Now that I'm to the point that there's nothing left to do, I may have to break down and finally buy that Road Glide!
Yeah but like you said, puttin the ride wrights on and the shotgun. Thats goin to make it look that much sicker. Thats what I would do, but to each his own bro..
