Default Beaded windshield kit ?

I love the old 40's, 50's & 60's vintage, classic, retro, kinda stock look on my '07 Heritage. And I do like my HD king size detachable windshield, but would like it better if it had the old fashioned beaded edge. There are plenty of these on the market new, but is there a retro-fit kit out there, or is there a way and the material to install the beaded edge myself?

My buddy made his own beaded edge using clear tubing and silicone. He slit the tubing down the middle, squirted it full of silicone and glued it on.

I was just thinking about that. I have some neon yellow fuel line on my airplane, and have used some of the dark blue stuff too. And, it would be removeable if the new wore off. Might start off with the cheaper clear tubing & see how it looks.

I sure need to see a picture of this when you're done. I haven't seen these windshields and would like to.

That's what we did in the 70's. We would put in on windshields, fenders, and anyplace else we could slip it onto. We used the chrome trim as well.

Now I know what you are talking about. After the previous post I could draw a picture in my mind of what it would look like.

I have some chrome trim on my widshield. Everyone who sees it says it looks nice and gives it the nostalgic look.

You can buy 10' on ebay if you want to go chrome. It was only $12.00 with shipping, let me know if you want the sellers name.

Not the greatest pic, but you get the idea.
