Default Removing throttle cable help

I am in the process of changing my 09 train over to some 14" apes. I am wondering how the throttle and idle cables come out of the controls on the handle bars. I have the control split apart but i cannot seem to see a retainer clip of any sorts inside. Not sure if I am being descriptive enough but any help would be greatly appreciated.

All you do is pull on it and it will let go. The little clip is up inside the housing a bit. There may be other ways but this is how I always did it.

You should just be able to pull them out. There is a little compression ring on the end of the fitting. Since they are very new, it may be rather tight.

thanks for the input, after looking a little more i found the ring and just had to pull on it a couple times and it popped right out. Thanks again.
