Sitting in Afghan for a few more week trying to decide what saddle bag I want. Looks like the Boss Bag #37 (Springer Bag) is the look I want. Anyone else try these bags out? Any reviews? I've read dozens of threads about Boss Bags, and not one negative comment. This bag is fairly new, any thoughts?
So far I am very pleased with mine, I got the small basket weave that comes on the softail deluxe seat. They fit pretty close even with the HD docking hardware for the sissy bar. They go on and off in seconds. I think they designed the mounted position of them just right.
The B.B. people are very nice to work with too. Their prices are on the high side when you start comparing, but the quality is outstanding.
Hellbent-
Thanks for the info. What did you do with the rear turn signals? I know you mentioned the bags worked well with the HD docking hardware but I don't see the signals in your photo. On my bike when I installed the HD docking kit, I moved my signals to the aft whole in the fender arms. Is your bike set up the same?
Along with the BT300 plug-in turn signal module from Biketronics, which turns your rear turn signals into 3 functions; tail lights/brake lights/turn signals.
It you have already moved yout turn signals to the rear hole, you will have plenty of room, I think Boss' bags sit just a little further forward than some of the others, they don't use the last strut bolt, they use the two in front of that. The one picture shows where you can see the rear docking post with the bags on.
Prior to mounting bags on my FB, I also researched every bag on the market. Finally decided to go with Boss 38's and have not regretted it for a moment. These bags are indestructible and even though I'm using their Quick Disconnect System, the bags are solidly mounted, No play, No movement. Product Quality is "Number 1" and Customer Service was "First Rate". Shipped mine through APO.
