I am thinking about putting a set of Harley hard bags on my 2010 FB Lo-will have to rework the pipes- the parts man at my local HD dealer says I can run true duals with fish tails-there is a guy that has done this to his FB and they say it looks like a custom bike. Not sure I am going to do that yet. Your thoughts?

Bonzo-
I have the Samson duals on mine, won't go back for nothing. I love the look and they sound great. The kit is easy to do and only took about 6 hrs, and that was including a few honey-do's.

That #37 is a good looking bag on a FatBoy for sure. I had them put stiffiner kits in my stock Heritage bags and am totally satisfied. They are good folks to deal with.

Their #37 springer and the #40 bags are 'close fitting'. The backs are contoured for clearances around the belt guard and such, which allows the top of the bag to get closer to the struts. The back of the bags are pretty much up against the HD docking hardware.

If I can ever save enough money for a set of these I will get them, but they are not inexpensive. I like the 40's as I want as much space as possible.

Do it once and get the largest ones you like and can afford. On the 3rd set of bags. Bike came with small/med. bags, sold them for some used and slightly larger bags. Sold those for used larger bags - Leatherworks which are very good quality and worth looking into. Thinking about selling those and getting even larger ones - like hard bags or RK bags.
