Default burnout lowering kit?

How easy/ hard are they to adjust once on.
Do you need a lift or is as easy as getting a wrench and turning

I have a lowering kit on my 99 Softail Custom, and I can adjust it with the bike on the jiffy stand. It does help to use short wrenches.

They were on mine when I got it. Harley did change the shocks on the newer models, not sure when. Mine have the round eyes at both ends, and the adjustment is to the rear. On some of the later ones, they use a stud at the front, and adjustment is to the front. I don't know if that makes it easier to adjust or not.

Put the burnout kit on a few months ago. Installation was easy just used a lift a bought from harbor freight and tool. Kinda a pain because the lift kinda got in the way, but was able to put front tire on cinder block, same with rear. Installed easy, would make it alot easier for yourself if you had like whiteout or something to be able to mark the threads so you know you are level on both sides.

Could I also put them back to stock height?

I can change mine in about 5 minutes if thats what you mean. And yes, you can put it back to original height or higher if you want. Keep in mind as you raise the back end, it will quicken the streering a little, and as you lower it, it will slow it down. When I have mine lowered an inch or more I have my shocks set up about as far as they will go to keep from bottoming out on railroad tracks and big bumps.
