I Plan on getting a 2011 Heritage and will be changing the A/c and exhaust in the near future. It was my understanding that All 2010/2011 engines had cats in the head pipes. However I was told today that the Heritage did not which makes no sense to me. Since the answer will determine what pipes I get, can any of you guys confirm one way or the other? Much obliged for your help.
It’s in the beginning of the mufflers. I’m not sure it’s an actual catalytic converter just something like that.
Two things I would consider.
One there is a lot of nice looking header pipes out there that come with the mufflers and they have a better chrome job done on them. Also they’re tuned for the bike better than slip-ons are.
Second I have an 07 Heritage and unless you’re dead set on a new bike you might look into a low mileage used one. You’ll save 4 to 5 thousand if it’s a year old. The Heritage seems to take a larger hit than some of the others. Just what I seen with mine.
my 2011 heritage had them in the pipe.but i havent run anything through the head pipes to see if there is any more in there but i doubt there is aynthing in there.bought a pro pipes any way.
