opinions on the best tuner for a 10 or 11 fatboy lo?
I havent had a bike in over 20 years, is there such a thing?
And does ABS make a big difference?
thanks
This all depends somewhat on what mods you are going to make to the bike. If it's just stage one stuff (intake and exhaust) you can do with just about any of them. Some of my riding friends have gone with Harley's race tuner. It seems to be fine but involves some dyno time as well. The shop needs to do this and it seems pretty expensive to me. I went with Fuel Moto and am using a Power Commander V. PC-Vs are used on anything '09' and newer. I'm totally happy with it. There are others out there as well. I prefer doing my own work so I went with the PC-V over a shop/dyno set-up.
I finally did a Stage 1 a few months back. Went with the V&H Fuelpak because I got a great deal and because it was fairly easy to setup. So far works good. Will warn you though there is very little space under the Fatboy seat to mount any of these tuners. You'll have to get creative.
Call jamie at Fuel Moto for info there is a new Power Commander Tuner coming out that flashes you ECM like the SERT or TTS does and that is the best way to go IMO.
Im using a PClll for my bike and its good but for the newer bikes with o2 sensors the PC V is good but requires that you have it piggy backed on the bike.
My Dealer and the local tuners like the TTS master Tune.
I think if you can get a system that is user friendly with base MAPS and flashes your ECM that is the way to go.
