Just put the carlini evil apes on my scoot with the carlini piston risers. The bars are stepped on which dropped it to a 1 inch bar. I had to buy adapters to make the bars fit the risers which are made for 1.25 inch bars. They were cheap $12. Just place them on the bars where the risers go and your all good. Fit is perfect and the bars are BADASS. When you call Carlini speak with Rex and he will tell you where to get em.
I wish it was $12 for the cables! No what I meant was where the risers attach to the bars it drops the bars to one inch when the risers are made for 1.25 bars. So with the riser adapters it brings the 1 inch part of the bar back to 1.25 to fit the risers. Wild 1 Inc. sells them now for $36 and the part number WO807. Hope that makes sense to you cause I kinda confused myself.
I think if you have 1.25" reisers you should get the bars that are 1.25" and not necked down to 1" at the reiser for two reasons. they are stronger and they look better. Just my .02
Thanks for your .02 as I thought the same thing. The adapters are made of steel and are as just as strong. As for the looks, you can't even tell the bars are brought down to 1 inch when the they are put together. The whole set up looks badass.....
deeznuts, I assume you do not have the 10" evil apes because those only come in 1.25" with no stepdown to 1". And i assume you are saying that the Stock HD controls work but the stock cables do not?
Brad, I got the 14" apes and yes had to get new cables but the stock controls did fit. But you know what they say " Apes are like fake ****, you always wish you went bigger ".
I just got my 10" Evil Apes in the other day and started installing them last night and no the stock cables won't fit unless you have a bike that came with the mini apes from the factory. I had drags and then slammers and none of them fit too short. Going to order new cables today. The stock controls fit good and damn they look sweet on the bike. You need risers for a 1.25 bar, I got 1" cateyes form Carlini

Do you have a better up close picture of the Wild 1 1.25" adapter? I'm curious how the joint between the upper and lower halves look and if it's really noticeable of not. I'm in the same situation in that I have 14" Carlini Evil Apes that I plan on transferring to my 2012 Wide Glide when it arrives. The 14" Evil Apes are 1.25" and stepped down to 1" at the risers. The WG risers are 1.25", so I either have to get the 1.25" adapter or buy 1" risers with a top clamp that covers up the the 1" stepped portion of the riser.
Another question I have is why the 1.25" adapter is only offered in chrome??? I e-mailed Wild 1 a while ago about it and they confirmed they don't offer it in black. Any issues with painting over chrome? Do you have to strip the chrome first, or can you paint right over it? Just a PIA that they don't offer black.
Does anyone else (Carlini?) make an adapter like this?
