Default What is this white foamy gunk ?

I took the RSD intake off to install the throttle body gasket..what a PITA it is to clean off that black form-a-gasket...anyway there was all this white foamy gunk that looks like it came out of the breather bolts is this anything I need to be concerned about ?

Looks like the oil from the breather is mixing with moisture.

That was my exact thoughts.

Do you do a lot of short rides, where as the engine does not get up to operating temperture for very long?

Have you riden in the rain lately some?

In one photo it looks like there is water or condensation on the chrome piece you are holding?

It's oil and water mixed, to make that foamy goop you see in may opinion.

I want to know the answer to this too. I live where it is warm so my guess it is something from the cold...Mine has never looked like that.

This is usually a sign of a bad head gasket allowing coolant to mix with engine oil but since your riding and air cooled bike ??? Did someone pour a latte in your oil ???

I took mine off after about 6 months and didn't see anything like that. It was in the middle of the Texas summer though. I will be taking it off again next month when I change my exhaust and I will be looking. I am interested to know what that is also.
