Mine works pretty good. I put it on and let it tune itself and it made a huge difference in the performance of my Dyna. I installed a set of Andrews cams and left the same file in it and let it re-tune itself then had it dyno'ed 74 hp 83 tq out of an 06 Dyna 88" with everything else stock. No decel popping or popping when shifting.
Have you tried putting the stock ecm back on and seeing if you still get the decel pop. Just wondering if maybe it's unrelated to the TM.
No I haven't tried that. I assume I would have to put back the stock o2 sensors with the stock ecm module. When I changed out I didn't keep the sensors or wiring.
After I installed Thundermax on my 2010 Softail - the "r" fuel range indicator on the Speedo went south ... it now reads a ridiculously high number. I had read elsewhere (can't remember where) that Zippers had come up with a "firmware" upgrade. Their website says nothing ...
Has anyone else lost fuel range? Anyone know of a firmware upgrade?
I still have decel pop and also pop sometimes when shifting.
Have you tried going into the software yourself and dropping the RPM point where fuel is cut off by T-Max? I had similar issue ... and I took note of the lowest RPM, i.e., about 1800 - 1900 where I got occassional but noticible pop and lowered the fuel cut off to 1750. I then lowered the upper RPM fuel-cut off point from 2400 to 2250 ... just so the system would not be dry/fuel starved for too long. Most of my decel pops are gone now ... though I do get an occassional pop at low end ...
I've seen other guys try and resolve similar issues (pops and pings) with a couple of Dyno runs and "expert" tuners and most are never really pleased ... I've done better tweaking the T-Max myself .. at least I know what I did and why I did it .. and I can undo it. Crux of the problem is that you and the bike form a unique operating environment and the Dyno and tuner/expert can't re-create that environment ... best of luck.

Reason: correctness
yep, my comments are in that post...I had a bad taste with TM....I guess the biggest thing is there is noone to diagnose any issues...if you can't figure out the issues on your own...no dealer/indy is gonna touch it...at least in my area.... your mileage my vary though...
