I cant say enough about the performance of my J&S. I think it depends on how much you plan on using it. I use mine for projects or just so I can move it around in the winter if I need to. I have done two bike rebuilds on this lift and I have never tied the bike down. Didn't have to. My friend just about dropped his ultra off his hf lift changing the oil. If you are really going to use it. buy the right tool for the job. You wont be thinking...I should have.
Just my .02
I think at the price it should be made out of aluminum to lessen the weight but other than that I love my J&S jack. It's rock steady stability and no straps requirement were the big sellers for me.
I ordered mine should be Here on Tuesday I was sold after watching their demo video and it's a tool you have for life. Glad to hear all the positive comments.
My J&S shipped to the door in So CAL was $393.24. That was normal price. So it was still less then the Pitbull on sale.
Yes, but the Pit Bull weighs 117 rather than 88 pounds, a full 29 pound difference. It lifts up to 25 inches rather than 18, which is very significant, and all moving parts have grease fittings. I'll let you know, but I went with the Bull.
