My front tire is out of round, not the rim, the tire. It happened last winter when it was parked and not moved for a few months. I tried filling it above the recommended pressure and getting it hot, helped some, but still there.
This winter i'm going to replace the front tire, leave the bike up on a jack.
Now I have heard that some of you went to a 120/70 front tire. Is there any fender clearance issues or rim issues I should be aware of?
I am curious as well. I was told some are doing the 90/90 front tire by Metz that seems to be a favorable upgrade.I have seen many people do the 90/90 up front.
Radial auto tires can 'flat spot' as well. If you need to store an auto for any length of time, it may be a good idea to put'er on blocks.
I don't have to worry about that too much with my 4 1/2 year old pickup. I like to replace them every year about this time so I'll have decent tread for the winter snows. I just replaced them again and this is its 4 set. But the flip side is that I have put over 285,000 miles on it since I bought it.

I did it on my '06 NT, no problems with fender or rim (also works with stock rim), picture below:
So what really caused that? Was it a bad tire? I buy the HD Dunlops, no problems yet. I park my bike in a shed over the winter, no heat, and our temps dip to -40c in Jan. the bike sits for about 5 months.
I'm not sure what caused it, I bought it last year and it was fine all summer long. Put it away for the winter and when I took it out in the spring the bars would shake at slow speed. I could look down and see the rim was true, but the tire was wobbling side to side. It did get better as I rode it, but never was completely right. I have had motorcycles for 20 years and this was the first time this had happened, of course it is also the first bike I have had with such a narrow tire too.
Thats wierd. I have never had that issue. However I will not buy anymore Dunlops. My front one has about 6k on it and has cracks all around on the side wall. To me thats signs of a cheap tire. Did you ask a dealer or any bike shop to see if they have come across this before. Do you think its a belt seperation? Had that happen on a car tire once and it was replaced free of charge.
