Default Help me decide on engine mods, pls!

I know this has been beaten--but aftermonths of reading, I need some sound advice.

I have a 2006 TC88 Softail standard, w/Mikuni. Motor is stock.I am wanting to go with either a 97 or 98 upgrade kit.
Almost completely 1up riding, 10-12k miles annual. Some highway, backroads, poker runs etc.
Several bikes in the family, so we ride more than most. I ride with some folks that have BIG motors--I'd like to keep up..and maybe smoke the tire once in a while, or pull front off the ground. I ride fairly hard, and fast.
Not so much concerned w/ "quoting" dyno HP #'s, as I am raw TQ.
I think I'd be happy with 110+/110+...for the time being.

I initially wanted to go with gear drives, then began to consider hydaulic conversion...dont have a preference for cams.

I have read all the stuff on Headquarters forums, and their stuff looks nice--but appearently customer service aint there...That bothers me alot.

Looked at TMan,but dont want the worries of Rev.Perf. nik-a-sil...it may not be an issue, but I would worry about it. Too many posts about problems.

Talked to Axtell, and liked what I heard, Chaz & crew really seem to know their stuff...no worries there, for me it comes down to 97" vs. 98"...

Called Scott at Hillside--nice guy, knows his stuff. Had some different opinions, than some other folks, about what I needed.

Talked to GMR--Steve pushed hydro conversion w/ andrews 55N..not sure about this cam. Not much info on it to read. GMR seems to have had some issues in past. Does R&R do the work? I guess I could just call them...

No desire to go the SE route--just dont think that would cut it.

As you can see--I'm not taking this lightly..But I have probably made my decision more dificult than it is.
I have the money in my pocket, and am probably going to buy something this week...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for that--
Dont take this as smart ***, cause its not meant that way...

Thats probably a viable option for someone, just not me--given that I run a carb, not injection, as noted by the Mikuni in my description.

I was really hoping for some first-person experience here--not a reference to another website...

Believe me, when I'm about to drop $4-5k, I've been to dozens & dozens of sites over months researching and reading...

yep--months ago.
They were the first I looked at.
Looks like a great solution for 95, but I want bigger. Also, their dyno sheet looks to be pretty high in the rpm range for the TQ curve.

If I had a budget like that for a build (spent it all on other stuff) I would research it as you are too. I have nothing to contribute right now but will be following.

I hear you! The line just keeps getting longer here as well.
