I just came across their site and and am wondering if anyone has their speakers for the softail. They come with a separate amp that mounts where the crash bar mounts. I wonder how they sound.
If I recall they had a booth setup at the BBB and I do remember listening to the displays they had setup. I remember thinking they sounded good for a system with not a lot of bass but then I was listening to it outside with tons of noise around me. Not the most ideal. They cranked loud.
harley makes about the same system "boom audio" handle bar mounted speakers with amp and thumb control volume and power for the same price. I've listen to a display at HD dealer using my Iphone as the player it sounded great. $399
Drew, do you think the Cycle Sounds come close to the J&M's? I listened to the youtube video on there website and I don't think they hold a candle to the video you shot with the J&M's, with your 2 or 4 speaker set-up. Your thoughts?
First off, I spoke to owner of Cycle sounds for about 45 minutes yesterday. I don't know how they will sound until I buy a kit. He also stated that the Harley Booms suck compared to his speakers. His come with a separate amp and have 200W for just two speakers. I plan on having a head to head comparison, but I have to come up with the cash for these new speakers now. I am not sure how soon that will be.
I am curious as he says that the cone shaped speakers make the sound much better than on the speakers I have. There is only 1 way to find out. And one thing is for sure, my J&M's do rock.
I was up at a HD shop w/ my buddy when he bought a set of Cycle Sounds... hasn't installed them yet. I was trying to compare them to the HD ones.... in the store, the HD ones seemed to have better bass response...
But check Mimo's post.. he got the HD ones, and says he can barely hear them....
Yours rock, based on what I heard in your vid... I would say don't mess with them.. JMO
