Default wheel change

I have an 04' Deuce....the back wheel is solid, and when it's windy...I can feel the back end move....I want to change to custom wheels (not solid)...my back wheel is 17x4.5....would you go with stock or 18x5.5....

If you need a new tire also move up a size. If your back tire is still in good shape and money is tight go with a new wheel. I have a tendency to run a stock or plainer wheel on the back of my bikes since you don't really see them anyway thru the saddlebags.

I had a deuce with both a solid back and a reaper wheel on it. There's no difference when it's windy. Your gonna feel the wind push you with any wheel on there doesn't matter if it's solid or not.

I changed the rear wheel on my Deuce last year from stock to an 18 x 5.5 and I think it looks a lot better. The wheel sits into the fender better.
But as far the wind problem, I notice no difference from having the solid wheel vise the custom mag.

actually....I am going to need tires...and I really don't like the "looks" of the solid wheel...money is tight, though...I thought I could find a set used....I have been told the 18" would go in....but it looks tight to me...just sayin'

An 18 x 5.5 will fit without any problems.
