Chuck, I am going to try and find out more. I am going to post in the dyna forum and try to find out where everybody's vent line goes. I have a 05 superglide and the wifes bike is a 07 streetbob, I do not have any vent in front of the rear tire,but the wife does. ?

I have had the same problem on my 07 FLSTF leaving a gasoline spot on the garage floor from the overflow tube after riding sometimes. It seems to be tied to how hot the engine was when shut down. On a hot day when I first noticed the problem, my engine was really hot when I shut it down, andthe resulting vapors were so strong they filled up the garage and part of my house, very concerning!!
My uneducated guess is the lean set ups for the 07 cause them to run hotter than prior years and the hotter the engine is when you shut it down the more vapors result, a little concerning and could cause an unsafe condition in a really hot day, let me just say you wouldn't want to park near your hot water heater flame!
