Default Chrome Toolbox ?/ Concern

I want to put my reg./ and insurance in it, but I'm not sure because any H-D key will fit.

Has anyone had any issues with that or am I worrying too much

Right now I keep it in a grifter box on the plate, but with the softbrake coming I don't think I want to keep the grifter box

I keep my reg. and insurance in a black toolbox on my bones. Convenient that the bike key fits. One less key to hang onto. I'm not worried.

I think you're worrying too much. Maybe they will leave your papers and take your .45 instead.

My SIG fits in there, but I don't understand why you left the box keyed with a blank. How can you be able to pay top dollar for an HD part and not pay the $20 or so to have it rekeyed so only YOUR bike key fits it?

Just wondering.

I heard you can take it to a locksmith and they can put a regular lock on it for not too much $$.

How or where do I get it re-keyed?

Got it used and didn't realize that any key fit it

I brought just the lid to a locksmith and gave him my key and he made them work together. I think he banged me $18 with a spare key.
