Default Quick Detachable Question

i've got an 03 fxstbi and have a solo quick detachable rack on my bike right now (with turn signal relocation kit) and the rach goes right on and off fine. well i bought a set of side plates for my back rest to make it quick detachable too. well i got them inthe mail today and the solts where you lock it onto the bike are about an inch further apart than the solo rack so it hit my turn signal and won't even line to so i can lock them on. the side plates i got were model # 53857-00B says it fits "Fits '00-later FXST, FXSTB, FXSTS, FXSTSSE/2/3, FLSTFSE2, FLST, FLSTF, FLSTFB, FLSTN, FLSTSB, FLSTSC models with or without saddlebags (except Heritage Saddlebags P/N 90876-05). Requires separate purchase of Docking Hardware Kit and may require Directional Relocation Kit. See chart for your application." so i get on harley's web site and look up the chart and it says for an 03 "2003-later FLSTF, FLSTFSE2, FXST, FXSTB, FXSTS, FXSTC, FXSTSSE/2, FLSTFB, FLSTSB53810-00A - Chrome, 53857-00A - Black, 53618-05 - One Piece53930-0353959-06** - Chrome. , 54268-10 - Black." 2003 has the letter A after the number and the rest have the letter B http://www.harley-davidson.com/pna/p...cking_sf00.jsp i was wondering if that makes a difference? i know most of the time a letter it just an update to the part. has anyone else has had this problem? any help would be great!!!
