Gotta go with this one as what I see on "touring" bikes are over weight wanna'be's with the same reclined on the back tellling the one on the front seat what/when/where while wondering why they have $28,000 invested in a ride they'll never get back.
After stuffing my butt with a piece of leather tied to a slab of thin steel for 40 plus years, I appreciate my "Softail" but still kick the old home built hardtail to life now and then just for because I can.
Another thing, a "Springer" front end has it all over those cheap "Tube Shock" pieces from the Orient.

It would be nice to see the younger generation picking up the torch, but the only thing I see them picking up is their f-in cell phones.
I've no idea what they're into these days..besides cell phones....and face book..

Well have you rode the new softails? I went to the test ride event at Fort worth Harley and the only bike i enjoyed was the 103 Cubic Inch tourer. Seems like Harley is taming down all the softails....hell you got to build your own now if you want it BAD.

Yeah I think that's true. I've even heard rumor that the FLSTN is on the way out. At least I got mine...and wouldn't take anything for it. Dealers around here have previous year Fatboys, Softail Customs, and Dynas sitting on the floor... Street Glides sell...

When I bought my Lo earlier this month, the dealer said they'd be more willing to deal on a tourer. Now, they knew I wasn't interested in a touring bike, so it could have been all smoke.

Yeah, bobber I just thought it was funny, when he tried to get me to buy the SG over the Deluxe. Cmon man, When he said the deluxe was a girls bike, that just kinda irritated me. I know hes a salesman, but dude, save your sales pitch mumbo, jumbo strategy for some other ******. Been riding all my life, not gonna just settle for what the masses have. F**K keepin up with the Joneses. We, who have DELUXE SOFTAILS, all Fat And Nasty with old school *** pipes and tall, and ILLEGAL APES, we stand out from the rest of the Pack. Glad to Be a 10%er of softails.

our dealer has no 2010 models left except sportsters up until the last month or so a new heritage softail wouldnt stay on the showroom floor much longer than a few days they got in 3 more a couple of weeks ago and they have 2 left and the deluxe had been selling fairly well.
