If i have the stage 1 download and want to run another box like a fuel moto or power commander will i need to take it to harley to remove the program or can i just install the box with the new tune? im guessing it will have to be removed but just checking.

 

You don't have to remove the stage I... Fuel moto or a tuner will be able to map it.

If your buying online just let the seller know what you have on your bike..

Of course nothing beats a real dyno and custom map

 

The new box will overide the tune from the stage 1. If you ever have to remove the new tuner for some reason you will still be able to ride the bike. If you have a thundermax that replaces the factory computer than the stage 1 won't matter.

There are downloads that take into account the stage 1 Harley download. My bike has a stage 1 download and a custom map. It runs great.
