crossbones and springer performance machine brake question?
The guys at performance machine have suggested a 4 point rear and 4 point front brake alternative for my 09 crossbones that will work with the stock rotors. The front brake will require a seperate adaptor. This will presumably be a bog improvement over the 2 point rear and 1 point front stock brakes.
My question is, will this additional braking power compromise the dynamics of the springer front end set up under heavy braking?
Can'y say about the new Springers, but on my "96 BadBoy the first thing I noticed with the PM was a more rigid, stable feel under braking. The flex I noticed with the stock front brake was gone and the brake felt more powerful. It seemed easier to lockup the front wheel with the PM brake than the stocker. I never tried a PM on the rear because most rear brakes are good enough. 90% of braking power is through the front.
