I have an '06 night train and cleaning that back rim is a bite. Any ideas about what works best? I have tried the S 100 route and still not as clean as I would like.

Hi nightrider54
Mine is black inside and aluminum in the edges. I use the 3M Chrome and Metal Polish to shine the edges. It is a tough task and I need a help from my friend to do so. I put the bike rear over an old car battery and a piece of wood so the rear wheel stay off the ground. This is the best way as you hold a cloth or sponge with the polish on the edge and begin turning the wheel with the hand. It keeps shiny for about a month.
I found that Mothers Aluminum polish used with a clean cloth and VERY LIGHTLY applied gives the best, swirl mark free shine.
NeverDull is a nice product, but the cotton leaves behind tiny sctatches.
You can get never-dull in the auto section at walmart. It comes in a small silver can. It is waded cloth soked in the polish. I haven't hade any problems with it scratching.

Which S 100 product are you using ?
My Train is less than 2 weeks old but I have been using S 100 Cleaner/Detailer almost from day one - it seems to leave a clean, slippery surface that lets brake dust and dirt be wiped off easily.
After a 120 mile ride today my S 100 moistened cleaning rag was black after a cleaning, but my back wheel looked perfect.
