Default solo seat - gel or no?

Thinking about a cleaner look without sissy and going to solo seat. Too many options on solo seats but maybe it comes down to gel or no gel? I have the stock badlander and its not bad for comfort but I don't want a harder ride. Dont want a couch either.

Any advice on good looking and comfortable solo seats?

anyone I've ever talked to said dont bother with the gel. I personally dont have gel in my C&C solo and have done 11hrs in one day on it.

I do have GEL, and gave to many bones for it. It's not worth it.

I had the LePera BareBones w/gel. Now I have a C&C Solo without gel if that tells you anything. But I'm going to sell the C&C since the g/f wants to ride more and more, so Solo riding maybe a thing of the past

I've had a LePera Silhouette with gel for a few years now, and IMO the gel was worth the few extra bucks. I can stay in the saddle all day right next to my buds on the touring bikes.

And I've heard a few comments that the gel will scald your *** if the bike sits in the sun long...can't speak for others, but we've had some long hot spells with temps in triple #'s here, and I've never found it to be a problem.
