Hello to all! I just bought a 2010 Fatboy lo, and want to change my pin. I have the preset pin form the dealership and can access this and start the bike with no FOB. So now how do I change the pin to my number? The manual I have is for a 2011 which I don't think matters but its not working? With FOB present now......It says to have switch off, done, then turn to ING, done, then cycle off/run off/run off/run, done, then press left turn signal 2 times, all this does is turn my indicator on and off??? And thats as far as i get? HMMMM maybe it me.....tried this numerous times with no luck? Any ideas?? Cheers!
The process is different for 2011's. Here's what is in that scan posted by Rakthi:
With an assigned fob present, turn IGN key IGN-Off-IGN-Off-IGN
Press left turn signal switch 3 times
Press right turn signal switch 1 time
(turn signals should flash 3 times and current PIN will appear in odometer with the first digit flashing)
Enter first digit of new PIN by pressing the left turn signal switch the correct number of times
Press right turn signal switch 1 time
Repeat for all 5 digits
I'm not sure what the final step is, it wasn't in the scan.
My recommendation... go back to your dealer and tell them you need a 2010 manual. The 2011's have a whole new electrical system so there will be several differences.
Before the module rearms, turn the ignition key to OFF
The odometer will return to mileage
Turning the ignition key to OFF stores the new PIN in the module.
