Default RK Custom Bars on a 06 Fat Boy

I want to change my stock FB bars to something with more pull back; I found a set of RK Custom Beach Bars that would allow me the pull back I'm looking for. My question is will I have to change my stock cables? I also like the look of apes but am reluctant to spend $700 and find that I don't like them. Please advise if you have knowledge of this subject. Thanks

Andy

I asked a dealer I visited in Raleigh, NC that very question. I currently have stock bars on my 08 FB. I sat on their fit shop bike which is also a FB and had the Beach Bars (Harley version) on. I have short arms and really like the pull back of Beach Bars, although my local dealer told me "people like the look but not so much the ride". I asked about the price to convert and he started with $125 per cable.+.grips.+.bars...etc... Long story short he told me ~ $1000 for them to outfit the bike with Beach Bars. I about fell over...Ha! Did I mention I have stock bars????

Flanders beach bars 36" wide @ just under $300. They are 1 1/4" through the risers. Yes you will need new cables, throttle, brake and clutch @ around $300 for all. Did it myself, but was quoted $150 for install from local shop (not dealer).

Very comfortable, very relaxing. Never had apes, so no comment on them.
