Default Narrow Beach Bars on the Lo?

Hi out there! As many of you I absolutely love my Lo. It would be the perfect bike for me, if it wasn't for those damn stock bars... After a while the pain in my back and shoulders just spoils all the fun!
I don't like the look of drag bars, so I'm thinking about replacing the stock bars with HD Narrow Beach Bars (ref. 56857-05).
Has anyone done that as well? What are your experiences?
And what did you do with the risers? Kept the stock ones, or also changed them?
Thanks in advance for your feedback and keep rolling!
M.

You'll need a lot of pullback. Not sure you're going to get much from risers. 4" risers will only give you 1" of pullback. If you can get some bigger risers on the beach bars, they may work well for you.

Thats why I didn't go with the narrow. These bars are hooked up to the stock risers. The bars are also 1 1/4" at hook up w/ no reduction like most, I also PC'ed the risers. 36" wide and very comfortable.

You will need all new cables though!

Yeah, the stock bars on your bike are both too far forward AND too low. Doing something quick is a good idea. I would up buying the Fatboy but not the Lo. There were other preferences, but overall, I loved the bike but HATED the bars.

I had beach bars on a Road King and they looked really good but I thought they were the most uncomfortable handlebars known to mankind. They put your wrists in an unnatural position. Try this: Hold your hands out as though you are gripping bars with your wrists straight in a natural position and imagine the grips perpendicular to the bones in your arms. Now move only your wrists to around a 30-45 degree angle forward with thumb/index fingers going forward. Look at JIMSFBL's pic for a visual on how you will be holding your wrists. That is what you have with beach bars. Imagine that on a 600 mile ride. Those are my thoughts, but definitely go grab on to some before you buy them.

These ar Burley Bikini Beach Bars. Best change I ever made. Changed out risers too as the stock wouldn't fit. Feels like a recliner when I'm on it.

I'm 5' 8", have the narrow beachs on my fatboy. Done several 400+ miles rides with no problems. I also have the HD Fat Risers.

I completely disagree, no discomfort and love it. I also have an Ultra so I'm not being bias. But obviously they were uncomfortable for fdb, so I guess it depends on the rider. good luck.

Did not want to change the 1 1/4" risers, that was a big deal to me to keep the fat bars running through risers at hook up (Fat Boy Style). The true 1 1/4" bars all the way through were not easy to find in black, Flanders had em luckily. AND you don't have to change risers.

Dansax, I like yours also bro! I'm just pointing out the differences for him, kinda like all the different apes ya know.

Musicanbike; I don't remember the length lol. I know that I like sweeping cables with the bars so I'm an extra inch than what was needed, but if you really need the length PM me and I'll measure em for ya and get back to ya bro!
