Great suggestions guys. My detachable hardware is not Harley it is Bubbas and it seems to have a little more lean. I haven't measured or compared it just seems that way to me. She says it feels like she is reclining. I have a pad that came with my bag. If you look in the picture it is on there but even with the pad she still doesn't feel like it's enough. I'm going to have Mean City Cycles do my seat so I will see what he suggests or I may try to pick up another bar on ebay and experiment a little.

Ride On!

I took a sissy bar and rebent it by laying it half on the curb/ half in the gutter and running it over a couple times with my truck. Worked a charm. Helps to have a spotter.

My wife tends to lean a little forward, I think because she doesn't quite trust the backrest. It s ast5ock heritage setup with detachable hardware. As a results we knock helmets alot on hard starts. Wish she would relax and lean back more.

My wife is pretty comforatble riding although being hit from behind last year didn't help matters. Have you ever sat on your passenger seat and leaned back on the backrest? I did and didn't like it either. Once you lean back that far there is no real good place to hold onto anything. Try it and once you lean back imagine someone going 70 mph while you're in that position or better yet ride that way with someone going 70 mph. I promise it will put things in a different perspective.
