Default Rear axle question

I am putting some V&H slip-ons on my '08 fatboy and I thought about turning the axle bolt around and putting it in from the other side so I don't have to keep pulling a muffler off to change a tire. Is there for some reason you can't do this. THANKS

imo...no reason that can't be done or any ill effects created. Suggest applying ant--sieze to the axle while you have it in hand. Makes removal in the future much easier. Good luck...

The dealer did mine for me when I ask them to. Was getting a new tire installed.

I had it done to mine AFTER the dealer changed my tire and billed me $70 for taking my full exhaust off then back on. And I had to ask if there was any reason why they didn't flip the axel. His answer was "because I didn't ask". Anyways, there is NO reason not to. At least on my Heritage.
