Has anyone changed their passenger footpegs to floorboards on a 07 Fatboy? The Harley parts guy said he didn't think Harley made any to fit yet. My wifewants floorboards & her cheap old man wants to know what will work before he puts out the $$$.
Grndpaw M. 1st are your pipes going to be in the way or have you changed them already ? You might want to check e-bay you might find them cheaper then the Stealer . Good Luck on your quest.
Yeah, the pipes seem to be the issue. Cobra and Kuryakyn both have some that they say "fits all Softtails" but I'd like to hear from someone who's done it before I buy em.
My ride is a '99 Evo Fat Boy. I was interested on those passenger floorboards. I went to the stealer and saw that the box said "for '00 and later FLT models" I took 'em out of the box right there and went to the service area, we over-put the parts to see if they would fit and no problem at all. In the end I opted no to put 'em on 'cause I rarely ride with a passenger and they are like $500 (kit complete and chromie looking) plus matching accents.
*If your exhaust is near the foot peg you shoul consider installing those on (this is if your exhaust's setup allows you so) as an insurance towards preventing those unpleasant moments in which your passenger uses the pipes to rest her foot [:@]
Wife wants them too for my Heritage. She keeps turning my pipes into black chrome! Since I added the pivot bolt cover and chrome swing arm cover I can't add them now. I too am wondering if the Kuryakyn ones will fit since they don't have the additional pivot bolt clamp support.
