I have a 2009 Deluxe, and I'm looking for a passenger seat that works with the stock front seat mounts, but does _not_ have the cutouts for the luggage rack.
HD has a larger sized for the Deluxe that will allow for the rack if you want or you can remove it. The seat is softer and a wider. My wife and daughter wouldn't ride with me until I get a different seat. The stock one on the Deluxe is like a rock and small.
I have the Deluxe "touring" seat, but it has two large notches in the back for the luggage rack to pass through. Though it can be used without the rack, looks kind ugly.
I looked at Mustang 79488, the page states that it doesn't fit with the stock seat though? This would be a great solution. This fits with the stock Deluxe driver seat, rail and all?
I actually have a Heritage Rail with a backrest attached. Would love to see a pic of this setup before I tried to get one.
Not sure about a suction cup pad, those really work? Needs to be wide enough for comfortable passengers...
Just in from garage. I put stock seat on and would have to remove or alter the bar to allow Mustang passenger seat to fit. The vertical strut at back of bar would have to be cut flush with bar; don't know how this would effect rigidity of bar. (This is a pic from last fall with Mustang rider.)
