Went to the dealer to pick up the chrome lo profile dash console that I ordered with various other parts last week. I was told they are on backorder and dont have a release date until mid April. Are you friggin kidding me? Of course, that info would have been a plus when I placed the order! Did the production facility blow up or something. Would cancel the order and buy somewhere else, but they dont seem to be available at other places either. Apparantly I'm getting in on the back end of a feeding frenzy on that part or something. Anyone else running into this?

Reason: why not
Have your local dealer do a dealer search for the part. They can print you out a list of dealers who are supposed to have it in stock. The list is not always accurate but if you work your way through it you might find one. I had to do this recently when I bought a new console for my bike because Harley didn't have an ETA on when new ones would be shipped out and I didn't want to wait forever.
