2011 Fatboy Lo, no security system, however, the red light for the seecurity system light has come on a couple of times when riding. Seems like it has come on when sitting at a light when the engine gets warm at idle. the bike dosent do enything different. Any ideas? Im abut 100 miles from the 1000 mile service, just checking to see if anybody else has had this issue. Thanks.
Several members have started threads about a 2011 recall. I'd cut and paste a couple of links; however, I'm surfing on an iPad and don't know how. Just use the search tool for 2011 Recall. They should come up since I just tried it. Most do go into the security system.
FYI, the local dealer had to replace some sort of relay or switch under the seat on my 2010 since it appears like I had the same problem and I also don't have the security system. I can't remember for sure what it was but I think it took them longer to diagnose than replace it. It was covered under warranty and if I recall correctly, it either happened right at 900 miles or just after the 1000 mile check up. I had the bike in the shop both times.
