Default detachable heritage bags

OK, so I know there's already a thread going right now about detachable bags, but I want to here from all you heritage riders out there. I've heard harley makes this set-up, but I can't seem to find it, and the cycle vision Barebacks look like they'd be pretty good, but there must be more out there... I'm also thinking that it should be easy enough to make my own? hell, three wing-nuts should almost be enough and only cost $2 instead of $150.

There's also Easy Brackets, but if I recall correctly, they dont have a way to accommodate the support bar, and I believe it leaves more space between the bags. The bags come off more quickly/easily with Easy Brackets, tho.

Wondering.....

I too, have thought about them. but as U said on the stock SetUp, 4 nuts + 2 bolt-nuts on the bottom, about 3-4 mins there off anyway.

Have also thought wingers.... and also thought about drilling holes in studs and using a Hitch pin...

How often are u going to remove them or for what reasons.? are U wanting.

I mostly want them for trips, so instead of having to unpack every night, I can just pull the bags off and take them in the room with me... I've been thinking that drilling might not be a bad way to go, but you need to be able to keep it all tight so they don't rattle around. Any ideas?

There is Boss Bags also.... from pics I have seen they keep the bags in closer. Scroll to the bottom of the page. I use Cycle visions.

I just unbolt mine, takes all of 5 minutes or so. Fill in the holes with chrome or stainless socket-head bolts. I do it when cleaning the bike or if I feel like running "lean"...

I went with Ghost Brackets w/The Edge Bags when I had my softail when I had it.
On and off in 30 seconds. They lock with a key on the top of the bracket between the fender and the bag. I'll try and show a pic.
Oh and the little rings on the back were to put a strap on and put the bags over your shoulder.

Get some bag inserts if this is the only reason you want quick release.
